Many studies have been published the last decade or so regarding the brain: how it works; what harms it; what helps it. We understand so much more! Until recently, for example, the general consensus has been that, after a certain age, creation of new neural pathways ends. But that is just not so. With proper nutritional support, avoiding the bad stuff and taking in the good stuff, and with what could be called “cognitive exercise,” our brains are surprisingly “fluid” or “plastic.” We can protect and preserve and even enlarge upon our most remarkable and complex of organs: the human brain.
